About The Author
S.L. Howarth feels great compassion towards animals and enjoys writing about them, especially about her passion: the wolf.
When visiting an Indian Reserve in Canada, she and her son were lucky enough to see a timber wolf peer out at them from behind a woodpile.
Her favourite books include White Fang and Wuthering Heights, and she likes the romance of Catherine Cookson and the horror of Stephen King.
A fan of archaeology and medieval history, she also enjoys true life stories, history, and ghostly tales.
Born in Manchester and raised near Salford, she nows live in Cornwall with her husband and enjoys spending time with her family, including six grandchildren, and sitting down to write.
She says, "After taking my dogs for a walk, I’d sit at my large table in the kitchen/diner, one of my cats beside me, and drift into my fantasy world for hours on end."
